Features
Booking, Sales, and Payroll are included in every REV23 plan. The subscription owner chooses which ones appear under Settings → Cloud → Features.
Turning a feature on does not add a charge. Turning it off hides its pages and settings but does not delete its data. Turning it back on restores access to the existing records and configuration.
Plans and billing
Section titled “Plans and billing”The subscription owner can open Settings → Cloud → Subscription & Billing to see the current plan, seat and storage usage, payment method, billing history, and billing status. Payment and plan changes may open Stripe in a browser.
If the Cloud is past due or suspended, see Troubleshooting.
What is always available
Section titled “What is always available”These parts of REV23 do not depend on a feature switch:
- Customers
- Services and sessions
- Release forms, Kiosk, and Web Sign
- Care plans and care journeys
- Ideas
- Supply catalogs
- The jewelry catalog for studios that offer piercing or adornment services
Booking, Sales, and Payroll
Section titled “Booking, Sales, and Payroll”| Feature | Adds |
|---|---|
| Booking | The calendar, booking requests, public online booking, booking rules, reminders, invitations, and consultations. |
| Sales | Prices, checkouts, payment processing, tips, refunds, gift cards, credits, receipts, products, and Close of Day. |
| Payroll | Compensation rules, earnings, pay periods, payouts, deductions, and corrections. It supports contractor and earnings tracking; it does not calculate W-2 withholding or file taxes. |
Booking deposits use checkouts and customer credits, so they also require Sales. Booking itself remains available when Sales is off.
Turn a feature on
Section titled “Turn a feature on”- Open Settings → Cloud → Features.
- Turn on Booking, Sales, or Payroll.
- Open Get Started to complete the setup steps for that feature.
The dashboard shows a setup reminder when an enabled feature still needs configuration. It links back to the corresponding section of Get Started.
Payroll also has a studio-level switch. After turning on the Payroll feature, open Settings → Cloud → Studios, confirm the studio’s time zone, and choose when that studio should begin pay tracking. See Payroll.
Turn a feature off
Section titled “Turn a feature off”- Open Settings → Cloud → Features.
- Turn off the feature.
- Confirm the change.
REV23 hides the feature until it is turned on again. Existing bookings, sales, payroll records, settings, and reports remain stored. If Sales is turned off while Booking is on, booking deposits are unavailable until Sales is restored.
Feature selection after an upgrade
Section titled “Feature selection after an upgrade”An existing Cloud that has never chosen its features opens a feature selection page for the owner after upgrading to 3.0. Select the features to turn on, or choose I’ll decide later to return to the app without changing them. REV23 waits at least 24 hours before asking again, and the subscription owner can make the same choices from Settings → Cloud → Features at any time.
Features left unselected stay hidden. Existing forms, customers, services, and other always-available records are unchanged.
When REV23 says a feature is not enabled
Section titled “When REV23 says a feature is not enabled”A page or action can report that a feature is not enabled when its switch is off. Open Settings → Cloud → Features, turn on the named feature, and try the action again. Only the subscription owner can change these switches.
This condition may appear as HTTP status 402 in technical error details. It does not mean the subscription payment failed; REV23 uses the message Module Not Enabled to distinguish a feature switch from a billing problem.
