The Manage Booking Page
Every booking confirmation carries a private link where the customer manages their own appointment. There’s no account or password; the link itself is the key. It works only while the booking is live, and a cancelled or expired link says so and points back to the studio.
What’s on it
Section titled “What’s on it”- The booking — service, artist, and time, with its current status: Booked, Pending confirmation, Deposit due, Processing deposit, Reschedule requested, Cancelled, Declined, Deposit expired, or Missed. These are the staff statuses in customer language — Booked is Approved, Deposit due is Awaiting deposit, Missed is No-show, and Reschedule requested means the studio took the appointment off the calendar and will follow up with a new time.
- Their profile — name, birthdate, phone, and email, which they can correct before they arrive (see below).
- The deposit step — when a deposit is due, the same payment flow as booking, inline. Shops taking in-person deposits show the pay-by deadline instead.
- Cancel — inside the cancellation window, the cancel counts as late and the deposit goes to studio review. There’s no self-service reschedule: a different time means contacting the studio, and the page says so.
- Your policies — cancellation and refund, for reference.
When a deposit offer expires, the page states that the appointment was never confirmed and its time is no longer reserved. It directs the customer to contact the studio to request another time.
Updating their profile
Section titled “Updating their profile”Customers can correct their name, birthdate, phone number, and email until the appointment. Check-in uses the saved information to find their customer record, so correcting a phone number or adding a missing birthdate helps prevent duplicates.
They can also add a photo ID before arrival. The page confirms that an ID is on file but never displays the image. The link does not expose medical history, ID numbers, marketing settings, or any other part of the customer record.
If the confirmation reached the wrong person, they can say so from the same place. Their report arrives as an inbound reply on the booking’s message thread, so a wrong-number booking gets caught before appointment day.
