Policies

Policies are your studio’s customer-facing terms: one set at Settings → Customers → Policies covering booking, cancellation, deposit, refund, and no-show. They’re customer policies rather than booking ones — the refund policy also applies at retail.

Each policy is plain text (Markdown supported), written once and shown to customers at the step it governs — the cancellation policy at booking, the deposit policy before they pay. Nobody has to go find a policies page.

PolicyCustomers see it
Booking policyWhen reviewing their appointment before confirming.
Cancellation policyAt booking, and on their manage page.
Deposit policyOn the deposit step, before they pay.
Refund policyWherever a deposit or refund is involved, including retail purchases.
No-show policyAlongside the cancellation terms.

At booking, the customer confirms the relevant ones with an explicit “I’ve read and agree” checkbox per policy — and the accepted set is snapshotted onto the booking, so Policies on the booking detail always shows exactly what this customer agreed to, even if you reword your policies later. A blank policy doesn’t appear; nothing is gated on text you never wrote.

Studio-wide policies live at Settings → Customers → Policies. Each team member can write their own from My Schedule — theirs override the studio’s for their bookings, and anything they leave blank falls back. An artist with a stricter no-show policy than the house gets exactly that, without the studio rewriting anything.

Editing studio-wide policies takes Studios → Edit. Team members always manage their own personal policies from My Schedule. See Roles & Permissions.
