Analytics

The Analytics page provides business insights across your studio with interactive charts and customizable date ranges. Use it to understand your customer base, identify trends, and make informed decisions about your studio’s operations.

All analytics data can be filtered by date range. Presets include last 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 1 year, and all time. You can also set a custom date range.

Four stat cards at the top give you a high-level overview:

  • Total Customers — Unique customers served in the selected period, with a percentage change compared to the prior period.
  • Total Sessions — Number of sessions completed, with trend data.
  • Top Source — The most common way customers found your studio (e.g. Instagram, Walk-in, Google).
  • Top Service — The most frequently performed service type.

A donut chart showing the split between first-time customers and returning customers. This is a quick measure of customer loyalty and retention.

A bar chart showing how customers find your studio, broken down by source (Instagram, Walk-in, Word of Mouth, Google, etc.). Use this to understand which marketing channels are working and where to focus your efforts.

A bar chart showing your most requested service types. Useful for understanding demand and planning staffing — for example, if ear piercings are your highest-volume service, you may want to ensure you always have a piercer on shift.

An area chart showing the age groups of your customers. This can help you understand your target demographic and tailor your marketing accordingly.

A bar chart showing sessions by day of the week. Identify your busiest and slowest days to optimize staffing and scheduling.

An area chart showing sessions by hour of day. See when your studio is busiest to plan breaks, overlapping shifts, or adjusted hours.

A breakdown of sessions by service category — Tattoo vs. Piercing vs. Microblading vs. other categories. Useful for multi-discipline studios to understand the balance of work.

A donut chart showing the gender distribution of your customer base.

If you have multiple studios, analytics data can be filtered by studio to compare performance across locations.

Analytics uses its own set of permissions, separate from the standard read permissions:

  • analytics:customer — Customer demographics, acquisition sources, new vs. returning, and age distribution.
  • analytics:service — Popular services, category breakdown, and session data.
  • analytics:studio — Scheduling insights like busiest days and peak hours.

A user needs at least one of these permissions to access the Analytics page. All three are included by default in the Manager, Provider, Counter Staff, and Read Only permission templates.
